Right now, I'm fuming! I decided to replace both rad hoses on the '77 as they look aged, but undamaged. I called three local Honda dealers who politely told me that they were unavailable. When I asked for an alternative, I basically got blown off. "Try the internet" was the best reply I got.
I refuse to believe that there is no alternative to the factory ones. I know that some of you guys have dealt with this, so what are my options? I sell rad hoses for cars older than this!

Re: Radiator Hoses
Thanks for the uh. I didn't think of browsing old threads. This has been a day from hell in other matters.
NAPA had the hose in stock and my store had the cap. My guy at NAPA will have the thermostat tomorrow. I decided it was better to replace everything while it was apart.
I'm glad in the post it was stated about using non silicate coolant. I have Auto Zone extended life at the house and it states nothing about whether it is or not, so I'll pick up a gallon of Prestone just to be safe. I won't buy 50/50, though. For saving a buck, it doesn't make sense to me to pay for a half gallon of water for the sake of saving a step. I'll mix my own. That's what I do with the other vehicles, anyway.
