Im trying to install a 12v outlet can i connect it to my ac terminal.i have a 1978 gl1000

I would think not. 12V is a DC current for DC powered items. I do not believe it would play well with an AC connection. What you CAN do is connect it directly to the Positive and Negative posts on your battery, but an even better idea, if you have a fused/switched junction block is to connect it there. If not, then put a fuse in line on the positive wire and go directly to the battery terminals as I mentioned above.

Just missing one letter....It's... ACC.... Short for accessory/switched ignition and usually is limited to a 5 amp load.
Yes it's OK.

Aha... I totally missed that reference. I thought he meant directly off his alternator. Hawwwwww.... don't I feel the fool.
