Where can you buy Saddlebag Stay Crashbars?

Post by tg02z71 »

Had a run in with a stray tire/wheel this past Sunday. Nearly took me out!!
Well my baby did not fair so well. My left rear saddlebag stay and Hard bag are destroyed. I have looked around and cannot seem to find parts from anyone that replace the stock parts. I may be able to find a used bag somewhere but the crash guards are hard to get from what I am seeing.
Anyone know where to get some??
Here is what I am talking about.

Have you tried a motorcycle specific salvage yard yet? I live in central California, and there is a pretty large one about an hour from my home. I am guessing there is one, or several in your area also. I am also guessing crash bars may be one of the items that do not stay in stock long.

If you get really desperate, the one in Fresno is APF Motorcycle Salvage, and their telephone number is (559) 237-6875. I tried to get to the website this morning, but could not.

Disclaimer - I have no financial interest in APF, but have had a mechanic use them in the past for hard to find parts for the 84 Interstate.

He is showing 3 saddlebags in varying condition. Contact Paul for what you want.

Be like some of us, and give up the work side of life, so that you can keep your GW moving. Good luck with the parts and the fixes. Your mishap does not sound like it was comfortable either.
