Help 82 interstate. Sounds like tire slapping

My wing has a slapping sound. I've looked it over. And. Nothing wrong w tires they have 9000 miles. On them. 6 months old. I've greased. Everything again. I tried disengaging. Clutch sounds like comming from rear ?

It's gonna be tough without actually hearing it first hand...but..
Set the bike on the center stand,rear wheel clear and off the ground.Safety the bike so it won't move.
Run the bike in gear to verify the noise is not in the front.
Stop the engine and hand spin the rear wheel.If the noise an still be heard..
The most common problem area is the tire rubbing or noise from the drive Differental/driveshaft.
Other noises can eminate from the brake caliper,it can be removed for testing for the noise( not driving)

Well I put it up on stand. Like u said. And as son reved it up. I caught a pice of tred lifting off. The tire is bad. In the center. But can't see it. Till. Spinning. Thanks. I never thought of. Doing that

Well that's a easy fix.I do recomeded using balancing beads instead of lead weights whenever possible when you replace the tire

I took it to tire shop. Was a new tire. Thanks again.

It sounds like you got it just in time before you got a tank slapping, and butt puckering experience.
