back off wig wag

Post by biker4life »

just bought the Back Off Wig Wag module and am trying to figure out which mode to set it at. if any of you have installed this which mode have you preferred, the temp wig wag then steady brake lights or the constant wig wag effect as long as you hold the brake ? I understand its all up to the individual but just curious if most have it one way or the other

I have mine setup to modulate initially and then every 10 seconds or so it repeats as long as I hold the brake. I connected mine to the trunk as well as the bags.

Mine is set up to blink initially, then steady brake lights. If I want it to flash more, I just release the brakes and it resets.

I have one of those coming in the mail and I'm planning on going wig wag then steady on til release the brake. I'm always looking around anyways even when at a stop light. I wouldn't want it to keep flashing. If I see a car coming up on me kind of fast from behind at a stop light then I'd just hit the brakes again for the wig wag to wake them up.

Ditto. Connected to all brake lights, trunk and bags.

Thanks all and just to update installed it right behind the license plate panel and followed the YouTube directions and installed perfectly with no problems. FYI I put it on the constant wig wag mode as long as the brakes are applied and am very happy with the outcome. I only connected the trunk lights not the saddlebag lights

I put it on wig wag then steady when I installed it, But I have been thinking for a while about the constant wig wag mode as long as the brakes are applied, I have to keep releasing the brake at stop lights and it makes more sense to just leave it flashing all the time!!

I can' see making a function manual that's automated. You'll forget to "renew" the flashing at some point - I'm installing mine with the 'keeps flashing while brake on' mode- you're installing them for safety, right?

My thoughts exactly. The danger while stopped is greater that during the slow down.
