Had the 1800 for a few months now and my HJC 3/4 helmet is very noisy, much more so than on my previous ride which was an Electra glide. Is there a brand that works better behind the stock windshield on the Wing? I know helmets are made in many different styles suited to specific type bikes but what is best for the touring wing. Thanks for any advice

Re: Best helmet
I have had many helmets over the years, but without question, the most comfortable helmet I have ever had is an Arai, and I will probably never buy anything else again. They are quite expensive, but are well-known to be one of the best helmets available, and they come in different shapes to fit different head types. I have a very long, narrow head, and every helmet I have ever owned gave me terrible hot spots on the front and back of my head after more than an hour. I have worn my Arai for 20+ hours and it's still comfortable.doctorofpain wrote:Had the 1800 for a few months now and my HJC 3/4 helmet is very noisy, much more so than on my previous ride which was an Electra glide. Re: Best helmet
I agree with Admin....those Arai helmets are really good, I started out with them when they were only $150 (20+ years ago). I just have hard time spending that now, but I found secret for mine is Scorpion, though the sizes are lisleading. I had a large (which is what I normally wear) and have had the pressure spots like what Admin stated, so I went back down last summer, and tried on different, talked to some peeps and found the secret to Scorpion, I am wearing a 2x now, and fits really comfy. It has the slide down sunvisor, all the vents, and such, and it is really comfy now. Probably best thing is to go in to a cycle place and just be open to trying anything.
