Dual functioning lamps

Post by lhelber »

While browsing the Goldwing goodie sites I noticed a couple of places were offering a wiring kit that allows side lights to be dual function. They operate as running lights (normal operation) and then act as blinkers when you turn on your signals. Does anyone know how they are performing this trick? I have some extra lights on my much older Goldwing that I would like to perform a similar task to. Any help, leads or schematics would be appreciated.

Hi mate,
I have used the information from this site to make my driving lamps turn on when the indicator is used - cornering lights.
simple and cheap but works!!http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#pts

Thanks for the link to this site. I think if I explore this long enough I just might find what I am looking for.
