Sleeping beauty better wake up soon!!!!

Post by made2care »

Since I'm putting on a new front tire, and since this bike is in horrible shape, decided to have local shop change front fork oil and install fresh pair of dust seals. They called me back and said that the fork bushings were shot!!
To mount new tire( which I already purchased online), change fork oil , install bushings and dust seals , my grand total is $180 , ouch. If I had the appropriate tools I would do all this myself!!
This old girl is getting to be expensive, and I haven't even started on the carbs yet :x

Bushings as parts aren't all that expensive, and if they're changing the seals, they're 9/10 of the way there anyway. Might as well have them done and not have to do them again in the near future.

That price doesn't sound to bad if it's parts and labour plus the tire mount.

I called the shop back and asked a few more questions. When they called initially I was too busy to talk. Simply asked about price of bushings and they stated they could not find any aftermarket. , therefore had to go oem.
