content of touchup paint-how far will it go?

Post by twostrokes48 »

Anyone ever use these 2 n1 fixit touchup pens that say they contain .5 oz or 2 oz of paint? If so any idea of how much say square inches of surface they can repair?? I know they are mostly for scratches, but I have a couple of rust spots that all total together about 5 or 6 sq inches. Wondering if this is worth the trouble to try to touch it up..It is mostly on the radiator wings so doesn't have to be perfect but close enough for gov't work.

I don't think you'll get enough coverage from a touch-up bottle for that, unfortunately.

You can always buy 2 of the 2oz bottles. Paint actually goes further than you might think.
