car tires

Post by lilbiker »

I have an insta-trike kit on my honda shadow would it be good to run a car tire on the rear cause I don't lean anymore. If so what size would replace a 170/80/15 bias ply tire.

A 185/60X15 or 195/60X15 would probably be pretty close. You would probably have to physically compare to be sure. Either should fit in the fender, so it is mostly the speedo that will be the key to what tire you put in there. Try for the same diameter of tire standing beside the tire you take off.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

There are a number of charts available that compare tire sizes and pertinent information. Some even give you revolutions per per mile, so you can get very close. BTW, most speedometers run off of the front wheel.
