So I've been looking over this DIY posting on side gapped plugs the question i have is do you cut down the porcelain on the plug ?

As I understand what you're asking, the short answer is NO, you don't have to do anything to the porcelain... I recon if you tried, you'd crack it, and the plug wouldn't work. I thought about trying all that grinding and shaping on my plugs and figured it wasn't something I felt I needed to do. If you find it makes a significant improvement on how your bike runs, I'd like to hear about it.. then maybe I'll get off my lazy tailbone and try it too.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

I was just wondering because. If you look at the pictures of the before and after it looked like it had been cut away. I'm going to do it this weekend. And I'll report back.
