stabilizer

Post by jeffers »

Hey folks!...Could someone please tell me how much fuel stabilizer to put in the gas tank of 86 aspy? I haven't went and bought it yet cause I'm not sure what size container to get. I have never done this before and don't want to put too much or too little. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

Most stabilizers (I know it's true for Sta-Bil, others are similar) you can't do damage or cause problems overdosing the fuel. I'm sure at some point the engine wouldn't run very well on mostly stabilizer, but even the instructions say to use x amount for so many months, or twice that for longer. I generally put 2-3 times the amount it says to use. I also use marine Sta-Bil, as it's better at keeping water in suspension and preventing phase separation.

Thanks so much for your guidance my friend.....Also want to tell you that I love this site. Everyone is so willing to help out another winger. Keep up the great work!!! I'm looking forward to being a member as long as this site is here... Because I know that I will never own anything but a "wing" anyway :) :) :) ...Thanks again for your help. I will use the marine stabilizer. Maybe in the spring, we could get together for a ride being that you"re in OH and I am in sw Pa.. Would be nice to meet you in person.
