I have a 2001 GL 1800 with 32k miles. The bike runs flawlessly, but I noticed that one of the three tubes at the end of the exhaust is considerably darker than the other two.
The top tube is very dark which indicates a rich condition and the bottom two holes are a light gray, lean ?
Anybody know anything about this. Please tell me I don't need to worry, even if I should......... Yikes.
Also, what is the average mileage the valves need to be adjusted. I have heard many different answers and Honda wants $600. for the procedure. Motor sounds fine, no tappet noise at all. Again, bike is at 32 k miles.
Thanks for a great site !

Re: GL 1800 Exhaust Question
Only one hole on each size is functional, the other two are just for show.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
