Post by redial »

http://www.comagination.com/modulator.htm

In my internet cruising, I came across this item. Has anyone any info on the products, company, longevity of the products, and any other news that may assist. Thanks for your assistance.

LoL , thats why you didnt get any responses. I cant comment on that brand of headlight modulator, but I can recommend installing one. I use one by Signal Dynamics, nobody has attempted to turn left in front of me since I installed it 2 years ago. 8-)

Thanks for your response, Todd (RR). I was looking for something for my shopping trolley Honda 250 that I use to do local shopping, but as I live in a rural area I thought that a modulator for that would be worthwhile, as well.

I also use a brake light modulator, I find that it causes cars to stop about 20 feet farther back at stop lights. Modulators front and rear are the best safety items that I have on my bike, money well spent! 8-)

A big believer in modulators, front and rear, as well. I use the Signal Dynamics modulators. Very reliable, and work great.

I have never heard of this brand before, but is guaranteed for 12 months. I got mine via CycleMax, and love it! Most people see you, but there are still that few that shouldn't be on the road if they can't see this. Was behind a fire truck the other night, and had the road all to myself. Probably my safest ride home yet.
Ride safe, and smart. Asphalt is like #1 grit sandpaper. Dave

There was a story in the news here last fall where apparently some people had been calling in (I guess to the police and the news station) and complaining about motorcycles with headlight modulators. Apparently they were mistaking them for emergency vehicles and pulling off the road. Not sure that I see the problem there....

The news station also posted a link to the story on their facebook page. In the comments on that post there were some people trying to claim that the flashing lights could trigger epileptics to have a seizure. I seriously doubt it, but it's always entertaining to see the "facts" that people will pull out of thin air during online "discussions".

Every day is a good day for a bike ride. Some days are just better than others.
