I have a 1983 wing interstate with neutral and OD lights that do not light when they are supposed to. I know the lights and the wires to them are working because upon rare occasions they do come on but not when they're supposed to. I'm getting ready to pull the front cover to get to the neutral switch and it appears that you have to take half the bike apart to get to it. Since this is a new experience for me I thought I'd seek a little advice from other's who've been there and done that. Any word of wisdom would be appreciated.
Thanks, Van

Re: neutral switch
You're in luck - I'm just in the process of writing a "how to" that shows in detail (with pictures) exactly how to do this. I should have it online sometime tonight. It's actually about replacing the water pump, but the neutral switch is in the same place, and is removed as part of the procedure.
Re: neutral switch
This "is" my lucky day. I'm going out now to buy lottery tickets.
Thanks for your reply. I'm anxious to read your procedure. I just moved my bike into the garage today to begin the process.

OK, it's online now. It's a big one - 200 pictures, but I think you'll find everything you need to know there!
