Re: Evans coolant
Don't know anything about the coolant, just make sure it is silicate free and designed for the type engine in your Wing.

Re: Evans coolant
i never heard of it either, and at $28.00 a gallon im not GONNA hear about it. that's ridiculous. I've been using AutoZone and O'Reilly's 50/50 mix for as long as I've owned my silverwing and my Goldwing. for the last 5 years, and in my personal opinion and experience I've never had any problems with them. bike runs great, never had an overheating problem, and at less than $12.00 a gallon, it works.
the only time i had a problem with my g/w running hot is when i was stuck in bumper to bumper stand still and creeping traffic for more than 15 minutes and even then, while the temp needle went up to "almost" hot, it still didn't overheat. i flush and change my antifreeze every year anyway, so i don't let it get to the point of causing any trouble.
again, this is just my personal opinion and experiences with a 50/50 mix store brand antifreeze.
stuart.

Re: Evans coolant
hey CM, glad i was able to shed some light on this subject, and as long as you make sure you flush the motor and change the antifreeze every year before you put your bike up for the winter, you shouldn't have any problems.CMReynolds1 wrote:Thanks Stuart, I am going to go with what you said.
