No power to anything but radio
Hey guys. I'm a noobie when it comes to bikes. I have an 83 gold wing interstate. When I turn key on the only thing that works is the radio. Pretty sure battery is bad but still has a little juice. Would think lights would work but nothing. Checked fuses and the inline fuses behind left blinker. Any other ideas?

Is the radio only working when the key is in the first click (acc) position?
The run position operates not only the radio but the rest of the bike, lights included...the run position, with the kill switch on,draws about 10 amp from the battery.Turn the key on and operate the brake lever...does the brake lamp light?
Do you have a volt meter to check the battery volts?

Yes key in on position. Tail light comes on but no brake lights, blinkers, headlights, or instrument lights. Battery is showing 10 volts off charger

10 volts on a lead acid battery means the battery is history. At 11.5 volts, there is only 10% charge remaining. The fact that the battery is down at 10 volts means there is at least one failed cell.
