Can anyone tell me if any parts from a 79 will fit on an 83 interstates?

I would like to get stock pipes, and an air box that the air filter fits in. But the reason I ask is that there is a 79 goldwing for sale (if still available) for $170. I have the 83. Are there enough parts I could use to make it worth a couple hour (one way) trip.

not sure on the air box but the '79 pipes may be too short. the 1100's have a longer frame and pipes

'79 is a GL1000.
'83 is a GL1100.
Most parts won't fit... some nuts and bolts but for the most part the answer is NO.
Sorry but I'd find another 1100 to use as a parts bike.... not a 1000.
