i simple is31

Post by Ravyn »

Hi all. I just purchased an i simple i s31 for use on my 1994 gl1500 se. I do not have antennas on my gl1500. I do not use the radio or the cb so will this unit still work on my bike ? All I want to do is connect it to my cell phone or gps to listen to the music I have on those devices. There is 2 radio jack type plugs that are audio input so I assume I have to buy some kind of adapter to convert this to plug into my cell phone. On the other end there is 2 antenna cables and one of them goes to the radio. Is this all I need? The other one goes to the antenna that is no longer on the bike and is not going to be re-installed. So far this is looking like something I might have made a mistake in buying. Any help from you guys ????

Thanks in advance.

The 2 jacks on the left side of the modulator are called RCA jacks. You need a 3.5mm stereo phone plug >>to>> left and right channel RCA plugs cable. Link is below. Just get a length long enough to reach from the modulator location to where ever you will be using the audio source (IPod, etc.).
Since you no longer have an antenna, just plug the male antenna plug into the radio, or cable extension under the seat. Leave the female side unused. When you power on the device it will send the audio signal to the antenna input.
