Cracked Rectifier

Well the good lord blesses those who pray . I had wrote and informed people about my problems with my bike at first it looked like the stator well when i saw the crack in the back in the back of my rectifier well I had a order for a new stator and case gasket so I order a new rectifier got all of them today first thing I did is hook up the rectifier cranked old girl up bamb 14.2 volts at the dash 14.6 at battery so my stator is good the rectifier was the coulprit. Anyway I was sweating pulling the motor not really looking forward to it but will do it if I have to .Gonna keep that stator and gasket so what I would like to thank everyone for their help starting with WIngadmin and everone else too MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS ON THE GOLDWINGS OF LIFE.

:) Glad everything worked out for you . Who did you order your parts from ? :) WOW 14.2 on the dash and 14.6 at the battery that's the same thing I came up with after I put two stators in :lol: I'd say it is normal for now , good job :o

That's great. Stator on my trike seems to have been replaced by PO. Wiring and connectors were shot though. getting it back today. Hope it runs better. Need a good carb clean too, however I can't afford it at this time. Soon to be winter here in northern Illinois so ...only a few more riding days then winter storage. BOOOOOO!!!

Hey man, you gotta trike why would you not want to ride that sucker in the winter, I lived in the Chicagoland area for 5 years in Rolling Meadows and the winters aren't that bad up there once you get thru the first six inches of snow :D

I don't have one now. I got a problem on old LTD I decided to clean my trottle body this morning now it wont idle you should have see the crap come out the tail pipe have you had this problem and what did you do to clear it up?
