Hello Admin,
I have uploaded some pictures to my Gallery....but the Pics came in "sideways". How can I 'rotate" them upright in there ?

Re: Gallery Pictures
as of today, you can't.
But he is rewriting the code for a brand new forum, and that is one of his Pet Peeves, pictures that are rotated wrong.
Delete the pictures, use an image editor, have it rotate the picture.
In 'GIMP' and Open Source image editor available on any OS, Windows, Linux, etc.... you can tell it to automatically force an image "right side up".
I have done that, and that is the only image editor I use any more.

and if that picture isn't quite vertical, you can "straighten it up"

If you are running Windows, there is another editor that you will probably enjoy using better.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing with regards to Irfanview.....which I use all the time. I think I'll just rotate the Pic to the right...then "upload' it and see If that does it

Re: Gallery Pictures
The problem is that with the advent of smartphones, images come with an extra bit of information that says "this is the direction the picture should be oriented when displaying." When the image is resized by the site, this bit of information is lost, so the image is displayed without regard for that - i.e. in the original orientation without knowing what direction it should be showing. I'm going to have it read that information from the image and transfer it, along with a function for the image owner to rotate the image after the fact in case it's wrong.
