lower helmet cable- is there a difference

I have a lower helmet headset cable from my Yamaha RSV, its a 5 pin will it adapt to the GL 1500? I hooked it up the other day and I got nothing though the helmet but I've had a series of connection issues while installing my new to me CB in my 1500A and this issue may be just another one. Before I purchase a new cable I thought I'd ask...

No, they are completely different pinouts. The connectors are the same (5 pin DIN) but the function of each of the pins is different.

Thanks Wingman, a bit of relief as now don't have to tear down again. the bonus .. I have been wanting to go to Tucson (about an hour SE from hear) to J&M and 'just look' at the shinny stuff, now I have a legitimate reason.

bought two new head sets from J&M on Wednesday, a bit a sticker shock but the results are worth it,,(by the way their shop/office has a great bunch of people working there)
I did a test transmit and receive with the engine running and all the CB used parts I installed seem to be working well.. thank you. Now I'm packing all my gear and putting the trike on the trailer in preparation for the trip back the BC as another Winter in AZ is quickly coming to and end.
