I'm not sure I like the number of moving parts. The other problem with the concept is the cooling fan INSIDE the enclosure. That dumps the heat from the LED into the heatsink, and then extracts the heat from the heatsink into the air inside the headlight enclosure. Once that heats up...what happens? Does the enclosure get hot enough to melt? Do the LEDs have a shortened life because of the high temperatures? It would be better to conduct the heat out the back of the bulb and have the heatsink external to the enclosure, like most LED headlights nowadays.

I bought in on a Kickstarter project,

it was a multi-purpose flashlight, almost never got off the ground, but it finally made it to production.

they did a great job on it, super smart, it changes focus depending on where it is veritcal or horizontal, has various modes available.

changes were sent back to the developers to fix things that went awry.....

I am sure that this project will also have to address a few issues along the way before they send it to market.

Cooling has to be addressed, that little space inside the Reflector lens won't last more than a few minutes before it gets too hot to live long.

I did once as well, it was a little device that tests your hearing (gives you a test similar to what an audiologist would give you) - except using the headphones you normally listen to. It then develops an equalization profile that matches your individual hearing loss in each ear plus the deficiencies of the headphones you're using. It then adjusts equalization of any audio played through it so that you hear a perfectly flat signal, as if you have no hearing loss, and as if your headphones have perfectly flat frequency response.
