Christmas sale on timing belts

Post by Old Fogey »

Not too sure where to post this as it covers several models and is a short term offer.

To try to do something for the four cylinder Goldwing fraternity during this period of austerity I have chopped the price of my timing belts to the bone.

Christmas Special Price! Sale must end January 3rd!
For the GL1000/1100
Inc. shipping to your door for only £26.00 / pair to UK and Europe, Rest of the world $44.00 / pair

For the GL1200
Inc. shipping to your door for only £23.00 / pair to UK and Europe, Rest of the world $39.00 / pair

(Shipping is non-tracked. Tracking extra £4.00 / $6.50 )

UK VAT goes up to 20% on the 4th January and I will never be able to repeat these prices.

Limited stock at these prices so better hurry. Just go to http://www.wingovations.com and check for your model in the shop.

'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!

( Seriously, you haven't read all 115 pages of my http://www.wingovations.com website ?? )

That's a fantastic deal on those belts. If anyone is on the fence on whether or not to get this done this winter...this is a great reason! Thanks for making this offer.

Incidentally, just in case anyone was wondering, these are Gates-manufactured belts, the same manufacturer that makes the NAPA version of these belts.

Yeah, crazily enough the wholesale price to me of actual Gates belts is so skyhigh I coudn't sell them, yet the Quinton Hazel belts are Gates belts made for them!

The FAI belts that I sometimes supply for the 1000/1100 when the QH ones are in short supply are Goodyear under their own brand name.

The 1200 ones are all QH.

Rock Auto is great (I have been a customer of theirs for years) but they don't have timing belts for 1100 or 1200 Goldwings.

Actually, yes, they do! and at ridiculously low prices.

Well, I never said mine were the cheapest! Just that I am selling as cheap as I can.
Suppliers like Rock buying in in huge quantities will always be able to undercut the little man. Mine is a very small one man business run with the sole intention of trying to keep as many of our great machines on the road as possible. The commercial side of the site is mainly to be able to keep the site up and running so that I can pass on information for you all to do that.
Just do a search on Gates t274 to see the range of prices. In one offer, you could have paid $105 for used '79 belts !!!
I knew that I couldn't compete with some USA suppliers, but I still believe that for UK and Europe I am probably as cheap as you can find if you include the shipping. I have even just yesterday shipped 1200 belts to Canada.
From my eBay site, which still has the belts at my full price due to the high eBay charges, I have sold all over the world;
UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, USA, Portugal, Mauritius and Australia!

Oh, I see...you're right, they do carry the Gates T274 belts...they just don't list them under the Goldwing section on the motorcycle catalog, which is where I was looking.
