Does anyone know if there is a brighter headlight bulb that will work on a LTD that doesn't pull to much voltage.Last nite I noticed it needed alittle kick in the oants.

Other than HID,brighter usually means more current draw. However there is a modification I heard about.Unhook the high and low beam wires at the headlight.hook them each to a pair of 12 volt relays.Feed the relays with a #10 fused wire direct to the battery.Replace the ground wire with a #10 wire bolted close to the frame. This mod will increase the voltage at the filament and increase the brightness and compensates for voltage drop in the existing wiring. You can verify this theory by measuring the voltage at the battery with the headlight on and then acrost the headlight terminals.I can provide directions if you need.

There is...the Sylvania Silverstar is significantly brighter than the regular bulbs, and as an added bonus, it doesn't draw any more current. You have to make sure that you get the MOTORCYCLE version of the Silverstar however - the auto version can't take the vibrations as well, and will fail much sooner. Putting the Silverstar in my bike made a huge difference at night.
You might also want to have a look at the condition of the reflective surface inside your headlight. You can put out all kinds of light - but if it's not being reflected out the front, it's going to look dim.

I bought mine at Autozone. They are Silver Star Ultra's. I used the 9003 bulbs. H4's are the same.
In my experience, neither the 9003 or the H4 bulbs suffer from early failure due to vibration from a Goldwing, 1200 or 1500.
