Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
If you are up to speed on cleaning and all, skip this.
I've been maintaining paint (or trying to) since the early 60s.
Carnuba wax has been around a very long time and is exceptional.
Time marches on and recently I've discovered a Ceramic Paint sealing material that is "without doubt" the tops.
TLC V2.
Spray it on, let it sit, then wipe it off (micro fiber) and repeat.
Your paint & windshield will take to it like a fish to water
I have NO connection with this product.. pc

Re: Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
It is not as expensive as Top Coat F11. https://topcoat.store/.
I foolishly tried Top Coat F11, it is really nothing more than a spray and wash that washes off quickly. After that bit of foolishness, I think I'll continue to use Honda Polish for the plastic and 210 for the windshield.

Re: Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
My Audi A8 was covered with less than an 1" of liquid from the spray bottle.
The paint is in excellent condition, so I'll guess this is less than a typical quantity.
I agree, the F11 does have a longevity issue.. pc

I'd be interested in hearing more about this topic. I have experimented a lot over this riding season with different kinds of rubbing compounds and polishes.

You'd probably have to take this video with a grain of salt, being that it is published by one of the ceramic coating manufacturers, but it does appear to show a significant difference between products:

I wonder why the guy doesn't mention the name of the other products? Pretty much all of the other YouTube testing I have seen mentions them all.

He most likely works for Top Coat and they do not want any legal problems.Corkster52 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 12:04 pm I wonder why the guy doesn't mention the name of the other products? Pretty much all of the other YouTube testing I have seen mentions them all.
But if you look closely at the tape on the panel he is doing the tests on, you can see the names of products.

This guy has been testing 34 ceramic paint sealers on a hood for 19 months:

Re: Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
That's exactly what I was thinking. The last time I looked into paint sealers, I was disheartened, because almost every one that was reviewed as being any good wasn't available to me in the U.K. and really cost-prohibative to import from the U.S.Corkster52 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 9:48 amGreat review! Now I find the CQuartz UK is available, I might well treat myself to a bottle for Christmas.

Re: Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
I've thought about trying some of these Ceramic Polishes, but I bought a good bit of original Liquid Glass on a distributor's closeout a few years back & I still have a good bunch on hand. You can build it up, it's easy to apply & buff too.

Re: Spray on Ceramic (Polish)
You are right! I had not looked at prices lately. I recall when it could be had for under $10 a pint and we thought that was high, so some used Simonize or etc. I've used LG for over 45 years myself, not exclusively as I have tried others, but you can do LG today, park it in the sun to cure, do it again tomorrow, and have two coats for real. Do that with other stuff, the newest coat always removes the previous coats.Corkster52 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 8:16 pmhttps://www.amazon.com/Lg100-Liquid-Ult ... 164&sr=8-8CrystalPistol wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 1:15 pm I bought a good bit of original Liquid Glass on a distributor's closeout a few years back & I still have a good bunch on hand.

In 2016 I bought a bunch at about $16 a pint, came out of a liquidation … in Houston or Dallas Texas I think it was.
At that price on Amazon, I'll for sure use it sparingly now, like "Sunday, go to Meeting" polish. I'm down to 16 un-opened pints and one partial.
