Paint question

I have contacted my dealer and wrote a note on my survey to honda about how unhappy i am with the paint, my bile is all black. My question is to the folks with red bikes, are the scratches as bad?noticable on the red? i was thinking of asking honda to replace all the black with red, i really love the blacked out look but this bike is less than 3 months old and the paint looks like crap already.

Is this a 2008 1800? Can't be if its "new".
Recently painted? By Whom? What paint? Was it properly prepped?

Kind of depends on the depth of the scratch. If it just in the clear coat it is barely noticeable, but if it is in the underlying silver base coat (like mine) it is quite noticeable.
