head gasket remover
Any one have any hits, tricks, or suggestions on how to remove the head gasket material without scarring the soft aluminum head? Is there any gasket remover stuff I can buy, or solvent that will make it easier. Also what kind of scrapper can I user. Is there any kind of plastic scaper that I can put in my electric drill that is safe to mechanically remove the old head gasket material?

You can buy chemical foam gasket remover that you put on the gasket, let sit, and it helps remove it - you can see it being used here on a front engine cover:

Plastic scrapers can get large chunks of gasket off, and I find Scotchbrite sponges work really well at getting remnants off without doing any damage to the surface:
