Tire Pressure gauge

Post by dlewis1906 »

There are so many tire pressure gauges on the market and they all measure differently. I have four tire pressure gauges purchase from my local auto parts store and everyone give me a different tire pressure reading on the same tire. I realize that proper tire pressure has benefits.

Where can I locate a tire pressure gauge that reads accurately? Are there any tricks to use with the one I already own (I do not know the brands)?

Thanks for the reference. I purchased the dial version of this gauge. What do you use when traveling for weeks at a time?

I use the Tiregurd TPMS from cyclemax and I use a slime digital tire gauge that measures the same as my TPMS.

It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

I have and use the Accutire tire pressure gauge for most of my tire checking.
it has been accurate over the years, and so far, I have managed to not drop it on concrete.

I also have the JACO which I attach to my air tank, I enjoy it simply because it agrees with the Accutire tire pressure gauge and you can monitor the TPSI as you fill up a tire.
