Radakks carb Kit's

Post by lbman »

last night i was on Radakks site checking out why his prices are so high..
Oh! Vi-ton O rings.
That's what I will use this next winter when i pull carbs off to redo them !
I also learned that Idle mix affects high end driving . Makes sense for sure. the smallest bit of crud will affect those tiny little holes. and good old H20 causes a lot of problems as well as fuel sitting in carbs for long periods of time .
he makes a lot of sense for sure,,Especially with the new fuels we have to burn. Plus I have read a lot of stories on cheep carb rebuild problems. I have also read some problems with good carb rebuilds..
I have done a few carbs in my day now. too me It's like Reloading Ammo, a person needs a Clean Quiet work environment to work.
and a lot of time.
I would hate to have a rebuild not turn out to save a couple of bucks. I have had the rack off of the last bike I did 5 times.
would not Idle when Warm!!!! come to find out that shims in valves were too tight do to valve wear..Doub!!!!!learned some thing new...dang The School of Hard Knocks!!!!!
Good news was my carb work was Perfect!!!

If you check out all the extra little things in his kits that you don't get with any of the others, you realise that you are actually paying a tiny premium for the quality and service.
'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!

( Seriously, you haven't read all 115 pages of my http://www.wingovations.com website ?? )

I used his kit several months ago - he ships it pretty fast and seems to be top quality parts - but I've had no luck with a small problem. He just didn't answer. No biggie, I ordered the part I needed from Honda. Just saying... I have no problem paying his price. It is higher than some but I think it is worth paying a little more to get good stuff.

what did surprise me about reading about what he does on his web site. was, he has a repair kit for those pesky little broken float stands...I have a rack off of the Yamaha XJ650 3 stands are broken . the last bike i did one stand was broken..I have been forced to find a donor carb to rebuild...I will be able to fix up the other carbs and sell the darn things to re-coop cost of the kit from Raddak.
anyways ,the loose screws are always turning..
what was wrong with your carb you needed go else where? If I may ask.
