Cardo helmet mic background noise

Post by Corkster52 »

Returned from Little Switzerland NC ride with a bunch of great guys and was recalling what could use some improvement. before The Gathering. Not sure it's old age, out of shape, or a combination of the two, but the guys continued to complain about my heaving breathing they were picking up from my Cardo Packtalk Bold's mic (along with wind and engine noise on occasion). I have the standard foam cover on my mic, but have any of you had any success with putting an additional cover over it as well? Someone, somewhere, said they got a fuzzy one that worked, but there are a gazillion or so of them on the internet. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Since it is a boom microphone, perhaps you can move it a bit further away from your mouth, if you haven’t tried that already.

After that, use the cardo phone app to turn down the microphone sensitivity

I had tried both of those and still not resolving the issue.
