Does anyone have a part # for intercom cable between bike and helmet?
Hey all, just picked up my first wing this weekend and it came with 3 helmets, two of them have j&m headsets. But only one cable came with the bike, and I’m trying to find another one online but the 5 pin cables I’ve found don’t look quite like the one I have. Does anyone have a part number for the cable or have an extra one they’re willing to part with?

OE part number is 39245-MT2-010
Looks like they're readily available, new and used.

Need the cable that plugs into that and goes to the helmet.

Oh. J&M makes several styles of cables.
Have you tried their web page to see if you can identify it by the shape of the connection?
Start here: https://jmcorp.com/Performance-Series-Parts_c_14.html
EDIT: A photo of the connector might also be helpful. J&M has made about three different versions as I recall.

This is the only 5 pin to 5 pin cable I’ve found but the one that came with the bike didn’t have the right angle connector and I don’t know if it will work with the headset I have. I suspect it will but I don’t want to throw almost $100 at it until I know for sure. I’ll have to check my headset model number for compatibility when I get home I guess

J&M uses proprietary connectors that you can only get from them. They have several different (incompatible) types depending on which headset you have and how old the headset is. You'll need to contact them to find out which one you need.

The over-molds on the connectors are really the unique part...
Well, that, and the connector used between the helmet and the upper cable. J&M's claim to fame was the patent they got for that specific interface.
Needless to say, nobody can copy that (without a legal fight that is...).
In my earlier post, I linked to the J&M page that has the recently-discontinued Performance Series headset cables. If the connector that @dante36445 is looking for *not* on that page, then it's even older than that one. I think that's been around for 20-odd years or so.
I seem to recall someone was looking for a one-piece cable, which has got to be close to 30 years old.

Re: Does anyone have a part # for intercom cable between bike and helmet?
The headsets are the J series and the cord I have is a JJ, which was a one piece replacement for a two piece cord from what I understand. They could potentially be as old as the bike itself, maybe even transferred from an older bike. I contacted j&m and was told they don’t make or have any cords that will still work with the headsets. So I guess I’m looking on the used market or modernizing to a more current unit

Yeah, between there and a couple of forums, might find enough hardware to keep things operational for a bit longer - before needed to upgrade to something that's supportable.Sunshinenomad wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 5:27 pm I was able to find two cords for my 20 y/o system on fleabay.
Just noted that the J&M Performance series as a set is no longer being sold, but they'll keep selling the individual pieces for replacement purposes, but for how long?
