Kurveygirl valve stems and balancing beads?

I decided to go with these Kurveygirl 82* valve stems. Just a cleaner look imo. Just wondering for those of you running them were you able to get counteract balancing beads in them. I seen a cutaway pic of one and it doesn't look like the passage way is as big as a metal tube one? But I could be wrong.

Those stems won't fit your 1500. Did you notice on their page where they mention they don't fit GL1500's? You'd have to modify your wheels (grind away metal) to get them installed.

Thanks for your concern, truly. In fact, I'll use this moment to thank you for all you do for the motorcycle community. I love your youtube channel too. I know all this must take up an insane amount of your life.

But yes I'm aware that the wheel needs to be modified. I've read on this forum of several members using them with success. Dusty Boots comes to mind.

Let's face it. Guys love to mod stuff,,,lol. I don't see this any different than grinding away a shift lever, drilling a hole in plastic for mounting some do dad, or cutting into the wiring. But I try to do stuff that is reversible. I cringe at the thought of drilling a hole for a cigarette lighter. I won't do it. Unless I have to,,,lol.

That being said, my wheels may need way too many weights on them to balance correctly. There may be a problem with them. I'm not sure. The po robbed the forks off this bike. Not sure if it's the original wheel or not. It has a E3 on it that is cupped. There was no fender or factory inner fender brace installed. Funny thing is the bike seems to handle fine. No wheel wobble. I'm amazed. But I've only had it up to 80mph for a short burst.

Is it normal to need 3 wheel weights by the valve stem? I can see where there were also 2 stick on weights that are now gone. I hope those were from previous tires? Point is I feel like I don't have anything to loose with these wheels. I could be wrong though. But I'm going to count on the Counteract beads to do there job.

I do have a pm into Dusty Boots to see if he regrets doing this mod.

I'm not saying I can't be talked out of grinding the wheel. Like "Don't do it. You'll trash your wheel". But you better hurry.....

I was wondering if the wheel was made with that spot for the valve stem holder took into consideration for balancing. Isn't it very heavy there? Or is the naked wheel semi balanced?

Nope, no regrets at all, especially when you consider you are installing a superior valve stem!!
Seeing as you need to remove the tire to install the valve stems, that's the time to install your balancing beads, not through the air valves.
I use a funnel affair fashioned out of some paper rolled up to install air soft BB's/pellets to balance the tires (larger, so won't clog up the valves, or disintegrate) before setting the bead of the tire
