DC 'Cigarette' Plug Buzzing on IPOD

Post by captscotty »

Hi all,

Anyone experienced this? Engine noise (follows RPM) heard over headset using IPOD when it is plugged in to the DC socket? Everything is fine when not charging, just plugged in to the 1/8 inch jack.

Fixes?

Thanks!

These bikes seem to have a dirty charging system. Radio shack sells a noise supressor usually called a ground humm isolator.

Can you figure out and post what it is that Radio Shack is selling? I asked the guy at RS, and he didn't know what the item was or if they had them in stock. Does this thing filter out the noise on the input voltage side, or on the output audio side?
I have the same thing when I use the GARMIN to play MP3 tunes.
