Vetter Radio
I might be getting a 1977 GL1000 in mint condition. I'll find out for sure later today (kind of excited). The guy has a radio mount for the Vetter SS. I was wondering how to install a radio and speakers. I get the idea, but a guide or some pictures would be nice? When I went and looked at the bike there was also two speakers mounted near the bottom of the fairing. I don't know what they are for, because I have never seen this before in a Vetter? Can anyone elaborate?

- The mount isn't installed yet, but this is the fairing. You can see this two speakers if you look hard??

Nice looking bike you are about to get yourself!
I have a 79 GL100 with the Vetter SS faring also. To mount a radio in them there was a pod called "Cycle Sound" that was made. Here is an image of mine after I installed a new radio in it. I had to cut the pod a bit to fit the newer style radio.
The speakers are standard 4 inch which mounts in the pod also. The antenna in mine is hidden inside the pod also. Since the radio has front and back speakers The front speakers are in the pod and the rear speakers I mounted in the fairing where the front forks go down and to the side. I found the pod on Craigslist for $20.00 in Portland

Re: Vetter Radio
I had a Vetter fairing on a Yamaha Virago750 years ago. It had a radio pod and the speakers were in the pod. It worked very well. The pod was made out of ABS plastic. I'll try to find some pictures but I don't know how much success I'll have.

Re: Vetter Radio
I just got the '82 Wing on Wednesday and went to my local auto store to purchase an last year's model stereo. There was a radio pod that came with the Vetter fairing. It is now installed but I need to figure out how to keep it bouncing out of the pod. I will post pictures as soon as I take them.
