Hi
I've been doing work on my GL1500 I've come across several live wires that are not connected to anything.
These wires are not original honda they're additions to the bike. I assume for accessories that are no longer attached by previous owners.
The problem I have is I don't know where they are live from should I cap them off and forget about them or trace them back and remove them?
I'm sure others on this forum must've had similar issues so I'm seeking advice
Thanks
Harry

Re: Live wires
If capping them off and tucking them away works for you then do that.harry37 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 10:51 am Hi

If it were me, I'd trace them back and remove them completely.

Re: Live wires
Rip them out. You have no idea who put them in or for what, or if (when) they will short out somewhere, leaving you stranded. I did this when I first got my GL1500, I ripped out ALL of the aftermarket wiring and started fresh.harry37 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 10:51 am Hi

Re: Live wires
Right guys thanks for the advice.
The weather's terrible here in the UK so I won't be riding for a while anyway, so I'll trace them to their source and take them out.
Cheers
