If you have a 1000 or 1100 just do it. Takes about two hours, replace 4 bolts new with shorter ones.
I had no idea these screens could be so clogged up. My oil light was flickerng so I took off the cover and removed screen.
Remove the three screws on screen and clean both sides with brake cleaner and brush.
Oil pressure will increase a lot and the valves, piston rings and oil pump will be happy.
