1500 Goldwing triple tree options?

Post by Quick Cal »

I'm considering triple trees for my sidecar hack.

I know about the the Hannigans for $1200. Ouch. I've heard of EZ-Steer, but don't know how much they cost.

I can get the ones off ebay for around $600 or less. Are they worth having?

Is there any others to consider? Thanks for any input.

Contact a Motortrike dealer to see if they still off a raked triple tree for the 1500.

5 or so years ago you could get new raked triple trees for $600-$1000. Not so today......

Unfortunately many suppliers of gl1500 parts have dried up. Traxxion used to offer billet raked triple trees. Call them to see if they know of any. Websearches aren't always accurate.....

Moot point now. I'm getting some Unit leading links.

Ya. The only thing that sucks about leading links or triple trees is once you put them on there's no more riding the bike with out the sidecar.

Like right now. I have the sidecar off doing a bunch of work on the bike. I won't have the leading links for a couple of weeks. So I've been riding the just bike naked so to speak. Just gotta remember to put my feet down when I stop,,,lol. But truthfully I can't stand to go anywhere with out "Sidecar Willie",,,,lol. He gets all excited when he sees me getting the Wing out. He thinks he's going. Breaks my heart to leave him at home.

I understand. Cody went everywhere with me. He had 35,000 miles local and 5 cross country trips.
