Is the Austone taxi tire directional? And balance bead question.

Post by Quick Cal »

Is it directional? I can't remember if I looked when I mounted it. But surely I'm smart enough to do that,,,lol. It's raining right now or else I would back the bike out of the garage and look.

Also. I ordered the counteract beads off amazon. I got the package that I could get next day. I did not realize they were for light duty trucks. I do know the beads are different for motorcycles. I threw in a 4oz package. I hope it will be ok.

I'll order the right beads for my BT-46 I'm putting on the front. Or should I just use what I've got?

And I also have a 13'' car tire for the sidecar. Will these light truck beads be ok?

With the car tire on the sidecar am I considered triple darkside? Triple DDD's. WOW!!

Here's the beads I ordered. I thought I was getting enough to do everything.

I don't remember seeing any directional arrows on my Maxxis Taxi tire, but not 100% that Austone does not.

I used 4 oz of some balance beads, did not know there were different ones for different vehicles.

My 4 Austones I did as blupupher did.
No issues.
Austone Taxi tire I sold you is Unidirectional... except sideways mounting.

In all basics you could put sand in the tire and it'll work just like balance beads.
Tho it won't ROLL around inside the tire doing a perfect re-balancing after every slowdown or stop.

.
When I do one thing, I'll side-step a little & learn few more things.
