How do you know when it is full? Look in periodically? Turn on the key and watch the guage? Don't want to spill fuel all over my 1990 GL1500SE
Thanks

Re: How to fuel it
Same way I've always fueled motorcycles - put the fuel nozzle in as far as it goes, and let 'er rip until it shuts off automatically. That will get you about 3/4 full. Then pull it out until you can see the fuel level in the tank, and gently fill the remainder up to the filler neck of the tank.

Yeah let someone else do it, how difficult can it be? Let’s face it you open the tank filler, put the nozzle in till it stops on the shoulder, and start filling, long before it fills up entirely the pump will stop.
Now you have two choices, pull the nozzle or lift the nozzle out and continue to fill and use your eyes.
