I just bought an 1981 goldwing interstate gl 1100 and i was told that you use regular motor oil in the engine! Is this true or should I use Motorcycle oil?

You can use regular motor oil, as long as it is the correct weight. I prefer to use motorcycle oil, for the clutch, but lots of people run regular oil with no problems.

i stick with bike specific oil or rotella. most car oil isn't heavyduty enough for bikes and the energy conserving oil tend to cause clutch slippage
