I bought a very slightly used GL1800 - '05 model about 3 months ago. I have now added 600 miles. I have progressed in getting comfortable on the bike. I use cruise control now. There is one problem that I have. I hope to find the solution for it here in the Forum.
I am comfortable when sitting about one inch forward on the seat, but when I sit back, I get a SORE BACK. I am 5'5" and my arms are a 32 sleeve size. As I have shrunk over the years (curse that gravity), I don't expect to get taller Also I don't expect to get arm lengthening surgery. But I am seeking HELP!
What adjustments or modification can be made to the handle bars? I am told that there is a locating pin that precludes a simple rotation of the bars. I suspect that moving the bars just one inch toward me would make riding more comfortable. How can I do this?

I would get a set of handle bar risers and a throttle boss from cyclemax and a backrest from Utopia.

Maybe try a Drivers backrest, Handlebar risers, or try www.meancitycycle.com for seat mod.

What about a set of foot pegs that go in the front of the normal foot pegs and attach to the crash bars.

That might help, But you have to consider this, Are you going to always want to have your legs stretched out and not in a normal state of riding. Your gonna want to change up positions. I think I would do a backrest first then pegs. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with both.keithg64 wrote:What about a set of foot pegs that go in the front of the normal foot pegs and attach to the crash bars.
