Any comments on Vesrah brand gaskets

Post by tcoholmes »

Any comments on Vesrah brand (made in Japan) top end gaskets? I know using Honda OEM gaskets is the best way to go but price is a concern. Ebay has ‘complete’ Vesrah brand engine gasket sets that look very enticing.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Tried them and ended up replacing them with OEM. They're thinner and the o rings for the oil orifices don't fit that good.

On things that really count its hard not to go oem.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

I had similar results to MJSantos, I rebuilt two RZ350 Yamaha engines and used Vesrah gasket kits, everything worked great except the head gaskets, they leaked on both engines, so I ended up using OEM head gaskets on both engines, that was 4 years ago and never had any problem with either engine. so in general Vesrah seems reasonable, but do not use their head gaskets, go OEM (based on my experience.
