Well for Christmas my wife ordered me two 1157 LED bulbs that will replace my tail lights on my 83. Hey they came in on time and the other day I popped them in. Man they are bright. HOWEVER, what I was seeing was the brake elements glowing. Found this out when I squeezed the brake lever and no change. Okay you say I had somehow got them in backwards but that wasn't the case. Couldn't be the wiring on the bike, the originals work just fine. Talk about a head scratching, took a 9 volt battery and touched each lug on the base of the bulb and yes they're are two elements. What I found out is during the manufacturing they bases where soldered on backwards in relation to the sockets. Not one, but both bulbs were backwards. I called Superbright Leds and talked with the tech rep. He found it odd but said he was going to pull two replacements off the shelf check them and send them out. Got an email the following day from him and everyone they had in stock were backwards and they were waiting on a new shipment from the manufacture and will get them out to me. I found it very refreshing that a company is willing to go the extra step to make things right. If anyone is ordering 1157 leds from them anytime soon you might be waiting a little bit for them to get this straighten out.
No wonder I don't gamble.

Interesting. There are a lot of fly-by-night LED bulb sellers out there - basically anyone who wants to pay to import some crap from China, then resell at a small margin can set up an "LED" web site.
I like Superbrightleds. They don't have the latest or brightest technologies as soon as some of the other vendors, and they're not as cheap...but the products they DO have are of high quality, they're consistent, their web site has extensive technical information on their products, and their customer service is second to none.

I agree, I've dealt with Superbrightleds before and they've been great, and never a problem with their products or service. I think this is an isolated case, and they will make good on it.WingAdmin wrote:Interesting. I must be a real geek at heart since I admit to going to their website "just 'cause".
