That's about as bad as it gets. Been lots of those around here lately, the state is spreading that stuff like it's going out of style. I wish they would give warning at the last intersection where it is possible to re-route.

Actually been there...Both feet down and eased across the bridge staying in tire tracks or the sand on the side..
I'm from the north and have (somewhat) ridden a bike in snow and ice..It will make you pucker up.

I saw one of these on our trip to northern Arkansas this past spring. As we were headed up one of the mountains doing the switchbacks I was the sign and puckered just a tad. About a mile or so later my wife asks me if I saw the deer. I said no, that I was watching out for bear. I told her about the sign that she had missed and that I was concerned with something that might chase and eat me just a little more than something I might accidentally run into. She asked me if I'd seen any bears and after I said that I hadn't she yelled at me to watch out for the effing deer that are right over there about 30-50 yards off the road to our left.

Ahhh, good times. We can laugh about it now.

Used to see these in New Mexico, over the Rio Grande and it was true. I would get to the bridge and pull in the clutch and just coast across. Never even skidded, but did pucker. I have had to ride in blinding snowstorms in New Mexico, so bad that the snow iced up the carbs and the bike would quit. Had to sit, while being covered in white stuff, while the carbs warmed again so the bike would run. The roads never iced up, even though there was some slush. If you have enough Jack Daniels inside, the weather outside is not so much a concern. Young and stupid back then.

A ways north (bout 300 miles) of where I live, near Cochrane Ontario Canada. They grow BIG Meeses up there. Hunting season begins in October, for moose, and early November for deer if there are any there. They do not much cohabitate up here as moose starve the deer out. I have almost run into young bear on the highway, and had them run along side, and across in front of me. Apparently, hitting one of them is like hitting a three foot bowling ball. If they run along side, I speed up real quick, if they cross in front, I try to stop real quick. They are harder to see than moose or deer.

If you are ever in France, this is one to look out for. Basically it means the traffic coming from the right has right of way. So you can be driving down the main road in a town or village and vehicles can simply pull out on to the main road from a minor one, and if you are on the main road you have to give way. It is a system of traffic control invented by the same man who invented french plumbing.

I've seen those, but didn't know what they were because I don't read French. One of the women with us did and was familiar with this. However, she failed to tell me about it in advance and finally remembered after someone honked at me for not yielding to them.

It's a stupid law. IMO

The actual sign is the one in the pic. If it doesn't have a diagonal line running through it then it means the road has priority.
