Pneumatic work stool

Post by WingAdmin »

I've had several people ask me about the little red stool they've seen in some of my videos and how-to tutorials.

This little wonder is one of my best purchases: It quickly and easily adjusts to various heights to allow you to work next to your bike, you can store your most-used tools in the base of it, it's soft and comfortable to sit on, and the best part of all: no more sore knees from crouching next to your motorcycle! The wheels are large enough that you can easily zip around on the floor while seated. I've had this thing for many years and it still works as good today as when it was new.

After years of using and using up that style, I switched to a different style. I found the weak link in those to be caster failures if used on anything less than perfectly smooth concrete. Also the small wheels would hang up on anything thicker than a painted line on the floor. Often dumping me on the floor if I was caught off guard. And while the seat wasn't bad it wasn't great for hours and hours.

I bought this one over five years ago and it has been fantastic.

Large 5" wheels that can even roll over cords and such, and a much more comfy seat. Plus, a larger tool tray that you can see into easily while seated. The tray also spins around, so it's easy to grab the tool or bolt you need with only one hand free. For some reason the price on Amazon has shot up in the last year or so, but I'm sure there are other similar options if you search around. I think I saw them at Costco, too. It is one of the best shop tools I have bought, and I can't recommend it enough.

HF had a recall of the red stool like Wing’s. Like an idiot I returned it and they didn’t have exact replacement so I stupidly bought this.
I didn’t even think of Amazon or another vendor and thought this was kinda cool and went with the bike theme….4 in my garage, including a road king with similar seat. The problem is that you can’t just get up and sit back down, you have to line up the seat or you’re sitting on the side or back. I miss the little red still that could…
