Alaska to Argentina in 500 days

Post by WingAdmin » Wed May 08, 2013 8:13 pm

This guy rode his motorcycle over the course of 500 days from Alaska all the way to Argentina, videotaping the whole trip. This is an amazing video excerpt from his footage. More at

Some more video, with commentary:

This guy is living the life most of us only dream about. I bet he would be a lot of fun to meet; fantastic stories. He took his mini-bike places I'd think twice about walking much less ride my Goldwing!!! Would not bet that he reaches old age, though...

Man, wouldn't we all like to do something like that!! If things (single, retired enough money) I'd be all over that!!
What a way to see the world!!
I’d rather be Riding my Motorcycle thinking about God
Than sitting in church thinking about my Motorcycle

I went to his website and watch all twelve episodes. He is a very interesting young man, a graduate of the University of Texas and apparently very liberal in his views. I admire his sense of adventure. I was expecting some good video of the Alaska trip but it was not there. I have gotten too old for that kind of trip. I prefer the comfort of the Wing and paved roads and my bride on the back. I would not have gotten 100 feet down the first mud trail with a gazillion foot drop off. She would have been beating on me like a piñata.

And he did the trip on a Kawasaki KLR 650!!!!

I've got one of those too and I couldn't imagine spending the next 500 days on it. Talk about monkey butt.
