The Fall colors came on slowly here in Central PA, but they were worth the wait. We spent several weekends with a group of friends riding through six different counties. We started out in Union County and headed Northwest. We visited the Elk Center in Benezette on one weekend and The Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning State Park on another. People can say what they want about riding in the summer, but our favorite times are early Spring and in The Fall. It's a bit chilly in the morning when we leave, but lunchtime the temperatures are perfect for a comfortable ride.
If you've never been to Central PA for a Fall Foliage Ride, you really should add it to your list. There are many back roads that are fun to ride and all lead to some great places to eat. One of our favorites is a place called Curt's Smokin' Ribs where the ribs are so tender that they fall off of the bones. And Curt's homemade sauces are the best.

more pictures on the way. most of these pictures were taken along SR 44 near Jersey Shore. The one exception is The Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning State Park during their First Fork Fall Festival.
