Lake Hope State Park, Ohio

Post by WingAdmin »

My wife and I spent the holiday weekend camping at Lake Hope State Park in southern Ohio.

This area is among our favorite - with Hocking Hills nearby, there are plenty of things to do and places to see, and hundreds of miles of fantastic twisty, hilly roads to ride around on.

This is our first time at this state park (we've stayed at Hocking Hills state park several times), and it's quite nice, clean, friendly people.

Beware GPS guidance in the area - my GPS repeatedly tried to route me on backwoods logging trails to get to the state park!

Saturday riding around, leaving the state park:

(and yes, shifting into gear when your kickstand is down does in fact kill the engine)

Friday night, pulling my trailer, on a VERY VERY dark few roads on our way there:

Nice videos. What part of the bike did you attach the camera to and what brand of camera are you using?

Thanks, I thought it was a GOPRO and I couldn't figure out what it was mounted on.
I have a Gopro and since I got my '98 GL 1500, I can't find anywhere on my bike that doesn't put a LOT of irritating bounces in the video. My 95 was so steady that I could mount the camera on a 12 inch goose neck attached to my handle bars and only have the bounce recorded if I hit a pretty good sized bump. The only place I can get a decent, smooth video, is when it's on my helmet.
I'd post one up, but I keep getting HTTP error from Photo bucket. If I can get my password issues squared away with Google, I'll try to post up from YouTube.
