We currently have 15 active routes with another 18 in the planning stage.

Well, riding suggestions from my part of the country. I've been on some of the routes you listed, and look forward to riding more of them. The Wisconsin Rustic Roads are nice rides. Welcome to the forum.

Hello again.

We just wanted to let everyone know that we have added 2 more routes, bring the total to 20 active routes for over 5,000 miles of awesome roads.

The last 2 routes that we added are the Wildcat Route and the Winona-Whitewater Route.

The Wildcat Route is centered on Wildcat State Park and stretches from La Farge to Tomah, Wisconsin.

The Winona-Whitewater Route links Winona to Whitewater State Park, Minnesota, and includes a generous amount of the Great River Road.

We hope you enjoy them!!

Looks like you only have Wisconsin routes. Any future plans for other states?

sorry for the delayed reply. I need to fix my notifications.

We currently also have routes in Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. We are also planning to expand our routes more into Iowa and Minnesota. Our web site shows which ones are complete and which ones we currently have planned.

If you are looking for a route in a different area than those currently planned, we also provide custom routes for a fee.

Awesome idea! I live right in the middle of these routes and have ridden lots of cool roads but I'm sure there's lots of them I haven't.

I see you live in Sparta. Excellent. we have been through there several times and have used it for a home base/starting point for several trips. My favorite all-time pizza place is in Sparta!!

Hello Everyone.

We have not posted an update for quite a while and we wanted to bring you up to speed on this past year and our plans for the future.

For those of you who don't know us, or don't remember us, we are Dale and Renee and we have created DriftlessRoadAdventures.com. This is a website that offers free self-guided tour routes in the Driftless Areas of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

We launched the website in April of 2018, and since the launch we have been very busy. We created 33 individual, single day routes covering over 8,500 miles of awesome roads. We attended several events including the Rev It Up for Awareness Ride, the Triumph ATLAK event, and the BMWMOA Rally in Des Moines. We also met with and shared our website with several motorcycle dealers throughout the Driftless Area.

Although we have not had a very big presence on individual motorcycle forums, we have spent a lot of time on other social media platforms by blogging regularly and sharing our blog posts on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram. We also opened a store and began to sell Driftless Road Adventure branded merchandise.

In addition to all of these activities, we still managed to ride 5 of our new routes and take a trip on the northern portion of the T.W.A.T and the Lake Superior north shore.

We had a lot of fun in 2018 and 2019 is shaping up to be just as busy and just as much fun. Some of the things we are working on include:

Website Updates, including a calendar of area events and rides.
New challenges and contests.
Driftless area group rides.
Dual Sport recommendations.
Paper maps for those that like to go old school.

The new events calendar is already available on the website, and we are continuously adding events as details firm up. if you know of a public event, please let us know.

Thanks for all of your support in 2018. We hope you have a safe and fun 2019.

GaryRatliff (and others): The ride from the Gettysburg area up along PA 34 at least through Newport, PA is a real nice ride. Rode it many times while stationed at Carlisle Barracks back in '69-70.

Gary Ratliff, if you can give me an idea of where you would like to go, or maybe what you want to avoid, I'll try to put something together for you.

Hi Daleah; thank you so much. I'm pretty flexible. I do love the mountains but that's not a requirement. Due to my schedule, 150-300 miles (round trip) is an easy day ride for me. I can normally fit a 2-day trip in during the week so 500-600 miles works good. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Gary

Gary, send me your email in a private message and I'll shoot you a file when I get a chance. If Delaware is like Iowa, you will not be riding for a few weeks anyway.

Dale
